
A standalone loudness optimization application from APU Software that analyzes an entire audio file upfront, builds a loudness distribution histogram, and reshapes dynamics over time to match a target profile – work that is impractical in a real-time plug-in because it requires a full-file pass.
After you open a WAV or other supported file, the optimizer scans loudness over the whole timeline and shows source and target histograms side by side. You can trim source percentiles to exclude silence or outliers, then choose a distribution mode: uniform for a flat profile, normal with adjustable skew, source-match to preserve the original shape within a new range, or reference-match to mirror a second analyzed file. Detection supports LUFS momentary, short-term, and integrated modes plus RMS, peak, and true peak, with weighting options including K-weighting, ECMA-418, ITU-R 468, A-weighting, and C-weighting.
