MuMu Player Pro

NetEase’s emulator puts a full Android stack on M-series Macs so mobile games and productivity apps live in a desktop window with resize, focus, and macOS shortcuts nearby.
DMG install, account login, and the first virtual device
You download the installer from NetEase’s MuMu channels, drag MuMu Player Pro into Applications, and open it like any other Mac program. The first run asks you to sign in with email or Google, accept the privacy terms, and start a virtual Android device. That device ships with Google Play already set up, which saves you from sideloading a store before you can search for a title. If you prefer local APKs, the vendor documents drag-and-drop or in-app installation paths once the emulator window is running. Developer-oriented items such as ADB access and a command-line entry point appear in the menu bar on recent builds, which helps QA teams push builds without juggling a separate phone.
Keyboard, touchpad, and parallel Android sessions
Gameplay feels closer to a desktop title when you map taps and swipes to keys or the trackpad. MuMu Player Pro documents default touchpad gestures-two-finger swipes on the desktop for notifications, the app drawer, or extra home pages, and two-finger double-taps at the trackpad edges to hop between recent apps-so laptop users are not stuck clicking every on-screen control. For grind-heavy games or account separation, multi-instance mode lets you run more than one Android environment when your Mac has enough RAM and storage. Per-game tuning still matters: the vendor’s public release notes often call out specific titles when keyboard schemes or frame pacing change, so niche games may need manual key binding until an update lands. Optional device-storage directory settings, where available, let you park large game assets on an external drive when internal SSD space is tight.
M-series hardware and the membership clock
The download page limits support to Apple Silicon; Intel Macs are explicitly excluded, so older hardware owners need another Android path entirely. Licensing is account-based: eligible Macs can start a one-time seven-day trial after login, then continue on 30-, 90-, or 365-day memberships billed through card, Apple Pay, or PayPal depending on region. That model fits players who want a large screen and stable controls for a few favorite Android games, but casual testers may find the paywall heavier than free emulators on other platforms. The 1.9.9 player package is roughly six hundred megabytes before game data, so budget disk space for both the installer and expanding virtual-device images.
