uDock

Lives in the menu bar until a shortcut, mouse button, trackpad gesture, or screen-edge hotspot opens the panel.
Summon, click, and return to the desktop
In Preferences, the Triggers pane binds a key combination, a mouse-button event, a touchpad gesture, or a corner or edge on the display you choose, plus a delay so a passing cursor does not open the window. Hotkeys are separate: they start an app, document, or folder without showing the panel. Command-click an icon to reveal it in the Finder. Option-click an app to launch it and hide the other programs. Close the window with the control in the top-left corner when you are done.
The center holds what you pin. Drag an application, file, or folder from the Finder, or right-click empty space and choose Add Item. A tab can be a grid of fixed slots, where every icon stays visible, or a flat list that scrolls. Unlock the padlock to drag items into new positions; lock it again so ordinary clicks leave the layout alone. Preferences cover color, transparency, and a Dark Blur background.
Tabs, processes, disks, and a small SFTP shelf
Separate tabs keep daily apps, project folders, and documents from turning into one crowded Dock. A Recent Apps tab lists programs you opened lately without pinning them. Running apps carry a yellow marker on the main panel by default. The Processes column lists what is open: click to bring that app forward, right-click for its menu, or drag it into the center to pin it. The Disks strip lists mounted volumes; click one to browse, or right-click for the disk menu.
The same list stores URL shortcuts, a Trash entry, and text clips that insert their text into the front document when clicked. An SFTP bookmark opens a simple remote browser for upload, download, rename, delete, and new folders. That shelf is enough for a quick drop. Settings can sync through iCloud to other Macs on the same account.
Permissions and which copy you install
Key, mouse, and trackpad triggers need Input Monitoring, and that grant is tied to a specific binary, so an update usually means removing uDock from the list and adding it again. Badges such as unread Mail counts or App Store update counts need Accessibility; the vendor manual says newer macOS labels that switch Device Control and Data Access. Full Disk Access is required before many folders open inside the panel. Even then, Catalina and later still hide some paths, and the Utilities folder has to be added as /System/Applications/Utilities. The website build can list windows that belong to other apps. The App Store edition does not show notification badges.
The direct download from Naarak Studio targets macOS 10.13 or later as a universal binary for Intel and Apple silicon, with stated support for macOS Tahoe. The EULA describes a 14-day trial and a $24 single-user license: every Mac in one household for private use, or one office computer for commercial use, unlocked with a PayPro Global activation key. The Mac App Store copy is free to install, then uses monthly, annual, or lifetime in-app purchases, with a 7-day trial on the subscription, and requires macOS 10.15 or later. Build 5.3.6 is the release on both the direct download and the Mac App Store.
